Life is complicated. It’s hard. And it only gets harder and more complicated as we become parents. But it’s our duty as parents, our responsibility, to do our best to understand as much about the meaning and purpose of life as possible so we can teach our kids. Everyone has to come to their own conclusions but there are commonalities in life for all humans, tied to the accepted constructs of society as well as the human mind. Understanding psychological concepts and philosophical principles can help us along our journeys towards identifying our purposes in life, but these can be hard to grasp. However, what if we could explain them using a children’s game? One simple enough that a 3-year-old can play and understand? What about Jenga?
This children’s game is the perfect metaphor for life in so many ways and levels. This is my Part 1 episode where I just scratch the surface of why I believe Jenga is the True Game of Life and how we can utilize it as parents to teach our kids important life lessons and concepts.
